Gmail Tools For Sales

Every Sales Rep using gmail should have these Gmail tools for sales at their dosposal. Each of these tools is used to cut down the time it takes to do your daily tasks so you can spend more time selling!

  • Unread Messages Icon – Unread Messages Icon

    • Quickly know how many unread messages are in your inbox prior to switching over to your email to check.  If you’re in sales you may or may not have A.D.D. I’m no doctor, but I do know that distractions keep you from pushing the business forward
      • Instructions: Go to the Settings Gear, Click Settings, Labs, Unread Messages Icon,  Enable, Save.
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator Lite(formerly Rapportive) – Gmail Tools For Sales

    • I’m specifically referring to the Google Chrome Extension. When you’re unsure of whether you have the correct email address for someone, you can enter a few variations prior to sending an email into the abyss. When you type an email that the prospect has used to login to LinkedIn, their LinkedIn profile will show up on the righthand side of the page.
  • Grammarly – Gmail Tools For Sales

    • Let’s face it, we alright pourly. Jokes aside, even if you consider yourself to be a writing wiz, having a second set of eyes on your grammar can be the difference in appearing ignorant and losing a deal and intelligent and closing a deal.
  • Yesware – Gmail Tools For Sales

    • There are a handful of email tracking add-ons. One we have become familiar with is Yesware.  It’s easy to use and it works. Beyond creeping, there is value to know if someone read your email.  If you know someone just opened your email on a desktop, well, call them! If they’re opening it on a mobile device, there’s a chance they didn’t give it the attention it may have required. It is important to note that not all emails that are opened will report that they are opened.
